"Two years after having a healthy son, we began to try for number two. Over the course of two years, I suffered through three consecutive losses, two of them late terms stillbirths. After visiting several other high risk OBs, I was told that I might never have kids naturally again. A highly recommended doctor suggested I use a surrogate if I wanted to have more kids, which was devastating news. At my wits end, I found Dr. Hamersley. From the minute I met her, she made me feel like there was hope. She identified a clotting problem that the other doctors did not think was relevant, and shortly thereafter I found myself pregnant again. Dr. Hamersley held my hand through the very harrowing nine months that followed, both literally and figuratively. She was patient with my concerns, and I never doubted that she was doing everything she could (and then some!) to help us bring a baby into the world. In January 2010, I gave birth to a precious miracle and I fully believe that without Dr. Hamersley’s help and support we may have given up our dream of a second child. Dr. H’s tireless research and commitment to each and every patient is a gift to those who walk into her office. I could not recommend her more highly. I admire her both as a doctor and a person and look forward to seeing her for our next pregnancy.

"After years of trying for a baby, losses, and treatment we found ourselves pregnant. The catch? We were pregnant with triplets! As exciting as this was, we knew the pregnancy would need the best care possible. We were fortunate to be referred to Dr. Hamersley and her staff. Every person we encountered at MFM, from the front office staff to the ultrasound technicians and of course Dr. Hamersley herself, was absolutely wonderful. We looked forward to our appointments with her office and actually miss them now. Dr. Hamersley clearly loves her job and it is up to date on the latest research in her field so she can make the most informed decisions about patient care while at the same time being a warm and caring person. Our triplets were born at 34 weeks 5 days gestation and were very healthy. We could not have dreamed of a better experience. "We’re a few days away from the 1 year birthday of my daughter Isabella and I have found myself re-living the experience of being pregnant with her. I was considered high risk and was referred to Dr. Hammersley from my OB/GYN Dr. Behram (in the same building). With every visit I was reassured with sonograms and consultations that gave me the piece of mind I desperately needed. Every step of the way I felt that I had Dr. Hammersley holding my hand and checking and double checking our baby’s health. We opted for the CVS test around 11 weeks…and despite its risks and the discomfort, I wouldn’t have trusted anyone else to do this procedure. We were thrilled to find out that our baby daughter did not suffer from any of the chromosomal abnormalities that we tested for. There is so much fear and worry once you become pregnant, but having the added care of Dr. Hammersley, my fears were kept at bay.
Today, a year later, we are expecting again, due in April! Since the birth of our daughter, we moved about an hour away from Dr. Hammersley’s office, to another state, but the traffic, distance and cost of gas is nothing compared to the benefits of her care. There just something so comforting about her confidence in herself and her incomparable experience."

"We just had to write you and let you know that our experience with
Dr. Hamersley and the people at Maternal Fetal was amazing. Starting
from our first meeting with Cynthia and finishing with Dr. Hamersley
sending us off to Shady Grove for the early birth of our son, we knew we
were in good hands. Everyone at the office is so friendly and kind.
When I had experienced problems with high blood pressure and a breeched
baby and I was most likely going to deliver early, Dr. Hamersley always
kept me smiling. Because everything was so unknown to us we were scared
at times and Dr. Hamersley, the whole staff and in particular Megan,
always put us at ease and kept us laughing and smiling! We gave birth
to a healthy baby boy April 5, 2007! Thank you Dr. Hamersley, Megan and

pregnant with twins. Right away we knew that Dr. Hamersley was a great
doctor and a wonderful person. She and her staff helped us through many
challenges and made us feel comfortable and confident that we were going

We just wanted to take a moment to thank you for all of the excellent care you gave us throughout our recent pregnancy. After four miscarriages, high risk factors and complications, we thought that having another child was only a dream. Prior to our research and self-referral, we had various ob/gyn physicians tell us that our miscarriages were due to 'bad luck,' 'bad egg and bad sperm,' and 'statistics.' We were extremely thankful when Dr. Hamersley (and SGFRSC) diagnosed the medical issues preventing a successful pregnancy. She provided comprehensive, individualized treatment, coupled with genuine compassion and empathy. Her staff exuded excellent teamwork mentality, which made us feel even more confident in the care we received.
We are proud to announce that after a difficult pregnancy, many prayers and much anxiety, our beautiful, healthy baby girl was born August 13th! We cannot put into words how grateful and blessed we are to have received your care, but every time we look into our daughter's eyes, we know she wouldn't be here without you.

"SGF referred me to Dr. Sheri Hamersley. I owe them so much for
connecting me to this brilliant doctor. Not only is she personable, warm
and caring, but the best at her job. After 8 miscarriages at different
stages of pregnancy, consulting with doctors all over the county, the
answers to my prayers was on Shady Grove Road. Not only was Dr.
Hamersley the first doctor that had actually read my files ahead of time
and had questions prepared for me, she was the first doctor to give me
any hope of having a child. At the end of our meeting, she said, " I
know exactly what we need to do for you. I promise you,.I will hand you
a baby." I have tears in my eyes now as I remember that moment. It was
the first time I felt hopeful of becoming a mom. Well, she was right. 15
months later she danced around the delivery room with my baby girl!
Sarah is now 5 years old. Every year on Sarah's birthday we bring Dr.
Hamersley a present and visit with her. Even at 5, Sarah understands
that she is here today because Dr. Hamersley discovered what it took for
me to have a child. I owe her so much and thank her when ever I am given

"After a devastating loss and then four years of trying to get pregnant again, our miracle baby was conceived. We knew Dr. Hamersley was the only one who could help us to make sure this baby came home with us from the hospital.
We were right! Daniel Robert Fowle was born on May 9, 2007, I made it to 38 weeks (FULL TERM!) but, only because of the wonderful care we received! Dr. Hamersley and her staff are truly angels. They were always there with kind words, hugs, and a shoulder to cry on when we needed it. And we needed it!
I know I’m biased but, our baby is absolutely gorgeous and, more importantly, he’s healthy.

"I was referred to Dr. Hamersley as a high risk patient with thrombophilia. At my first visit with Dr. Hamersley, not only did she diagnose me with my thrombophila after 2 years without answers as to why I clotted – she also saved my baby by immediately putting me on the medications I needed to maintain my pregnancy. I was already on my way to miscarriage, and the medication reversed the complications. My pregnancy was very stressful, but Dr. Hamersley and her staff were truly amazing during my journey. I have never encountered such true kindness and concern shown by every office member, and never have I come across another doctor that I respect and love as much as Dr. Hamersley. "I never anticipated that pregnancy would be so painful for me. I always assumed that when I was ready to have a baby that it would be a piece of cake. Boy was I wrong. After two heartbreaking second trimester losses, my husband and I were devastated. We were pretty positive that we were not going to be able to have a child. I didn't even know if I was willing to even try another time....until a year after my second loss I found out I was pregnant again. Oops, boy were we terrified.
